The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and it's used to collect income and assets information for students and parents. And the FAFSA is used to award both federal and state aid as well as its the first step to secure student loans. So what you're doing the FAFSA, you're going to report to your old income. An example of that is let's say you're applying for the 2021-22 school year that would use 2019 income. The FAFSA application is online. When you're on the application, there are detailed instructions. But certainly if you need assistance, we offer help across Sandburg College. Sanford is most affordable option for almost every student. Number one, our college-- Community College cost is lower than the other types of colleges, so you have a low cost to begin with. But then Sandburg also offers federal and state financial aid. And if you qualify for the maximum grant amounts, often that can be more than our tuition fees. Students will have money back to help them buy books, and even for gas and other expenses. Most of the students that come to Carl Sandburg don't have to borrow. We only have about 30% of our students that leave here with educational debt. So not only are they saving money while they're in college, but they also save money after they graduate because they have more funds available for their budget for other items.
